- Project rubric
- Week-six showcase format
- Short learning outcomes summary
What to work out with a school or youth partner
- Age ranges and cohort selection
- Session location and schedule
- Staff supervision and background checks
- Technology and internet access
- Accessibility needs
- Tool and data use approvals
- Family permissions
- Publicity and photos
- Transportation, budget and evaluation approach
Example pilot structure, subject to agreement
Six weeks, one small cohort to start.
- 6 Weeks
- 2–3 Hours Per Week
- One Small Cohort
- Free for Students
Delivery and devices would be jointly planned. One way to meet the proposed weekly time is a 90-minute facilitated session plus 30–60 minutes of optional or guided extension. A partner offering shorter sessions would have a redesigned format, confirmed before anything is advertised.
Curriculum at a glance
Six themes, six student artifacts.
| Week | Theme | Essential focus | Student artifact |
|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | Introduction to AI | What AI is, daily life, myths | AI Discovery Map |
| 02 | Prompt Engineering | Prompting, model limits, verification | Prompt Challenge Card |
| 03 | AI Ethics & Responsibility | Bias, hallucinations, privacy, deepfakes | AI Safety Decision Guide |
| 04 | AI Careers & Entrepreneurship | Careers, business, healthcare, agriculture | Career & AI Opportunity Canvas |
| 05 | Build an AI Assistant | Assistants, agents, workflows, approvals | Assistant Blueprint & Workflow Map |
| 06 | Capstone Showcase | Presentation, feedback, reflection | Final project, storyboard or approved demo |
Three curriculum strands (AI Literacy, AI Workforce Readiness and AI Creation) run through the six weeks, with routes adapted for grades 7–8 and grades 9–12.
Vendor-neutral by design
Students learn transferable ideas using examples from Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude. These are conceptual examples, not endorsements or partnerships. Students are not required to create accounts or use live tools.
Tool selection, student permissions, supervision, acceptable use and data handling would be agreed with each partner and follow applicable law and district policy.
How learning would be reviewed
A four-part rubric, used internally: AI understanding, responsible design, problem solving, and communication and collaboration.
Suggested pilot evidence is aggregated: attendance and completion, artifacts completed, anonymous confidence checks and partner feedback. Student identifiers would not be collected for marketing.
Why it matters
Students practice critical thinking, collaboration, technology confidence and presentation skills while exploring AI’s role in careers and local industries.
